A popular question and the answer is: "Depends." Generally, the larger the sample size, the lower price per sample. Depending on workflows, we have a lower limit of 8 or 16 samples, meaning that, e.g., two samples will cost the same as eight samples.
A follow-up question is often, can we provide a range and the answer is again: "depends." It depends on how deep proteome coverages you want and the type of samples you have. But if the ranges have to cover everything, it will be between €45 and € 8000 per sample.
To answer your question, we recommend that you contact us so that we can learn about your project and give you a price estimate or a quote.
It depends significantly on the approach, equipment, and research aim. We will always recommend that you contact us in advance so that we can learn about your project and guide you towards the correct approach for sample preparation. Here you will receive a guide for sample preparation, and should any questions arise along the way, we are happy to assist.
Alternatively, Biogenity can also do the sample preparation for you.
The timeframe varies a lot depending on the requested service and how busy the laboratory is. In relation to data analysis, we will usually be able to finalize the assignment within 2-4 weeks, whereas a complete workflow with sample preparation, mass spectrometry, data analysis, and consultation can take anywhere between 5-12 weeks. Many factors can come into play here, but we will typically be able to estimate how long the analysis will take upon request.
In addition, we also offer a fast-track solution.
The output varies a great deal depending on the requested service. For a complete workflow for, e.g., proteomics, the output of the analysis contains everything from raw files to a detailed report with biological interpretation, including figures, tables, and interactive plots.
You are always welcome to contact us to hear more about the possibilities of the various solutions.
